The sawing device can be used to separate a section of the horn from the rest of the skull in a perfectly straight, symmetrical cut in one go and in the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n
The horn of the skull is sandwiched between the right and left clamping plates, which are symmetrical to each other. The cut-outs are adapted to the shape of the skull and the two protruding retention shafts lock into the eye socket. For clamping, both clamping plates are extended like scissors. For this purpose, they are connected to each other at the lower end by a mesh which is rigidly fixed to one of the clamping plates and rotatably fixed to the other by a wing screw. The bridge has another hole in the side which can be rotated so that skulls of different sizes can be clamped by moving the wing screw. <\/p>\n
