The cut-outs are adapted to the shape of the skull and the two protruding retention shafts lock into the eye socket. For clamping, both clamping plates are extended like scissors. For this purpose, they are connected to each other at the lower end by a mesh which is rigidly fixed to one of the clamping plates and rotatably fixed to the other by a wing screw.
