Any adult can buy a disabled weapon without a permit.
A disabled weapon is usually an older weapon. It is usually no longer usable or safe to use, so it is permanently disabled. A disabled weapon can still be very interesting as a beautiful ornament or decoration.
A disabled weapon can no longer be converted back into a working weapon.
The weapon is disabled in accordance with EU Directive No. 2018/337 of March 5, 2018, for which the weapon receives the appropriate certificate from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia.
The deactivation certificate is an important document. The owner must keep it permanently.
The essential parts of the deactivated firearm covered by the certificate are marked with an official inspection mark. These marks may not be removed or changed.
A deactivated weapon may only be disposed of together with the certificate.
When purchasing a deactivated weapon, you will receive a deactivation certificate. Deactivated weapons must be registered with your administrative unit, along with a certificate.
