EP4 Sonic Defenders® Plus protect your hearing without limiting your perception of sounds or routine conversations. The triple flange on the stem fits into the larger ear canals and provides noise reduction ( Noise Reduction Rating ( NRR ) 24dB )) . Sounds at safe levels pass through into the ear canal , while potentially harmful noises ( above 85dB ) are reduced through a proprietary design that includes a special anti-noise filter. EP4s have a special filter cap that can be inserted into the filter and further blocks noise at a lower level, such as the sound of an aircraft in the cabin…………. where ambient sound or conversation is not necessary. EP4 Sonic Defenders ® Plus is made from a soft yet durable, hypoallergenic polymer that provides all-day comfort and extended product life ( up to 6+ months depending on use and care ).PEarLock® allows it to be EP4 Sonic Defenders ® Plus securely in the ear. EP4 Sonic Defenders® Plus can be used even when wearing a helmet or while using your phone and headphones.
The EP4 Sonic Defenders Plus can also serve as a headset for compatible radio communication systems – simply remove the noise reduction filter and attach the headset to the system.
NOTE : EP4 earphones no longer provide hearing protection when the noise reduction filter has been removed.
