Unlike untempered rod, its tubes are made of high quality tempered steel, tested over many years with millions of rods already made from this steel. The hardening makes the telescopic tubes extremely resistant to bending, even during strong impacts.
This type of bar can be opened by a sharp swing of the handle into the open space. The flared telescopic tubes are then firmly fixed by friction cones.
The bar can be closed by hitting a hard, solid surface with the tip of the bar. The stronger the swing when opening the rod, the stronger the locking of the hose in the extended position – but then the harder it is to close the rod.
